The old me vs. The current me vs.The new me

The old me was single, skinny, independent, and full of energy. The current me is happily married, a mother of three, a teacher to those children, fat, exhausted, and drowning in what I dream things could be. Here is where things get all cra-zee, I do not see myself as either the current or the old me. I am, in my mind, the perfect combination of both. I would not go back to single life if you paid me a million dollars. My children are my life and there is nothing from when I was 19 that would make me wish I was 19 again. I do, however, wish that I was not this tired, overweight person I am now. 15 years ago I barely weighed 120 pounds, fast forward to now and I am more than double that. I have had three kids but I can not use that as an excuse any more. I love my life, I really do, I just want to make sure that I am healthier and able to play with these wonderful kids.

I am going to use this blog as a way to journal the ups and downs of getting back to a healthier me. In this the first of many blogs I want to list the things I want to do to get back to the smaller version of me.

*No more fast food. Real food isn't fast.
*Work on no more sodas! This one will be VERY difficult for me.
*Less sweets and baked goods. This will also be hard since I am a baker.
* Get up and get movin!!

Current weight is around 290 :(
My goal weight is 135-140  It is so far to go.........

I also plan on taking progress pics of myself because as I work hard I want to see the progress and be able to remember where I have come from. The first of my progress pics will be taken This Friday August 10th as I head out on a date with my fabulous husband. This "date night' is my 34th birthday and I am hoping that by my next birthday I will be a healthier, happier (and much smaller) me.
